How the Mosaic Center Works
Mosaic Center is designed to help people explore goals, build confidence, and connect with opportunities and support that can help them move forward. Every member’s path looks different, and support is designed to meet people where they are.
Most people begin by attending a Mosaic Center Orientation session. Orientation introduces members to available pathways, coaching support, programs, and community resources while helping them better understand what next steps may fit their goals.
After orientation, members may continue working with Mosaic Center through coaching conversations, career readiness support, financial wellness opportunities, training pathways, hiring events, and community partnerships.
Some members come to Mosaic Center looking for a job right away. Others are exploring long-term goals, certifications, financial wellness, or additional support resources. There is no single “right” starting point.
Mosaic Center is powered by partnerships — including IU Health team members, community organizations, educators, mentors, volunteers, and workforce development partners — all working together to help people move toward opportunity and long-term success.
You do not need to have everything figured out before getting started. Mosaic Center is here to help you explore what support, pathways, and opportunities may fit your goals.
Before coming to Mosaic Center, I wasn’t sure where to start or what opportunities were even possible for me. A lot of people walk through the doors of the Mosaic Center for Work, Life and Learning thinking they need a job fast. Career Coaching Starts at Orientation Before anything else, you’ll meet our Mosaic Center coaches at Orientation. Because the Mosaic Center is powered by IU Health, coaches evaluate candidates against actual IU Health hiring standards. An Earn-to-Learn Bridge, Built for Real Life When a coach sees potential in a candidate who isn’t quite recruiter-ready yet, they extend an invitation to join Career Readiness Training, a three-week paid earn-to-learn program designed to close the gap. "No matter what you're going through personally, you have to learn how to leave that at the door and show up fully for the people around you." Your Coach Doesn’t Disappear After You’re Hired What makes the Mosaic Center different from a typical job training program is what happens after.
