At IU Health, Medical Assistants care directly for patients in outpatient settings, partnering with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver the highest level of care for our patients. Medical Assistants work directly with providers and patients, with the goal of providing healthcare and ensuring patient safety. The IU Health Medical Assistant Education Program was created in response to a need for more qualified MAs and offers unique earn-and-learn opportunities for individuals of every background who want to start or grow their careers in healthcare.
